The Law Office of Larry W. George PLLC is a focused practice in coal and oil & gas development, sustainable energy and carbon credits, corporate law, natural resources and mineral law.

The scope of representation includes business transactions, negotiations, agency regulatory proceedings, civil litigation and governmental relations. Larry is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. His clients have included banks, trusts, energy marketers, alternative energy developers, major land owners, lessors of coal and oil & gas, insurers, sureties and real estate developers.

Larry’s diverse experience includes over thirty years in private law practice. He has served in several appointed public offices related to energy, environmental regulation and natural resources management. Larry was also Majority Counsel of the WV State Senate and a Congressional lobbyist regarding public lands, surface coal mining and appropriations.

He presently serves as CEO of three companies owning and leasing land and minerals exceeding 35,000 acres. Before his legal career, Larry was a civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he was assigned to hydropower projects and electric power grid issues. He was also an assistant to the Western Regional Director of the U.S. Office of Surface Mining in Denver, Colorado.

Mineral Lands Management LLC is a subsidiary of the Law Office. It provides leadership and management services for business organizations which own or wish to acquire land, mineral, fossil and renewable energy assets and carbon credits.
